Microgaming Deal to Extend To Virgin Bingo?

Microgaming, an industry leader within the online gaming software space, has announced a deal to provide Virgin Gaming with their Quickfire software containing Microgaming's full suite of online casino games. Since their entry into the online gaming space back in 2008, Virgin Bingo has stuck to a proprietary, custom developed software platform. However, Virgin is now catering to customer demand that a larger range of games be offered, and Virgin is accomplishing this with direct integration of Microgaming's online game offerings.
Virgin Games CEO Simon Burridge commented that he foresees a wide range of new games being rolled out on the Virgin site during the coming months consequent to this Microgaming deal, and Virgin will also leverage existing progressives and contests resident within the Microgaming solution. It isn't clear whether this will impact Virgin Bingo, but industry analysts predict an eventual follow-on deal with Microgaming which will extend into Virgin's Bingo operations.
Virgin Bingo currently offers both real money and free bingo. They are now also featuring free bingo during each World Cup game, and penny bingo each Monday. Free scratchcards are also being distributed to Virgin Bingo players on a daily basis - with jackpots of up to £500.
