Unless you’ve been walking around with your eyes firmly closed for the past 25 years, it’s highly likely that you’ve already encountered the Virgin brand somewhere along your travels. Richard Branson boasts a huge number of music stores, high-speed trains and even an airline in his company name and the brand continues to find new streams of income on an almost daily basis.
So it comes as no great surprise that Virgin are now testing the waters of online gaming with a comprehensive site that features Bingo as just one of its many options. Virgin Bingo is decent version of the game yet ultimately falls short on the genuine quality of other sites that have greater experience in this particular genre.
It’s not there’s anything wrong with the site in itself. When sitting down to write the Virgin Bingo review we noticed it is fairly easy on the eye, looks different to the overwhelming majority of other sites and offers some reasonably good gameplay. Unfortunately, the Bingo experience doesn’t quite live up to the expectations of a brand that’s considered to be a major player and one feels that a company of such repute could have actually done an awful lot better.
Although simplicity isn’t a bad thing, Virgin Bingo’s site can be considered simple and basic -– first deposit bonus is set at 100%, there’s a free daily scratch card games for members and free bingo games twice a day. At the present time, Virgin Bingo don’t offer any reload bonus incentives either.
The gameplay is a decent enough effort but once again, I’d have expected a little more from Virgin. The software works fine but there’s very little to set it apart from the competition. Progressive Jackpots are fairly good though, and in recent months the biggest prize has exceeded £91,000. Both 75 and 90 ball versions of the game are available. Community spirit is reasonable and customer support is excellent.
However, Virgin Bingo does have one trick up its sleeve that nobody else can offer. Instead of loyalty points, the site awards V-Points which can be exchanged for Virgin air miles once sufficient numbers have been accumulated. This means that even losing players can be earning fantastic trips around the world just by using Virgin Bingo as their site of choice.
There’s a good variety of side games and Virgin Bingo boast many of the more popular versions of 5-reel slot machines as well as some exciting instant win games.
All in all, although not the five star site we would expect such a renowned company to produce, VirginBingo is quite a nice site to play at, with nice features and games, and we really like the option of converting your loyalty points to air miles. - Back to Top
