PartyGaming Hopeful For US Regulation

Reports recently circulated that PartyGaming was in late stage discussions with licensed US entities in advance of rumors that online poker would soon be legalised in the United States. Senate leader Harry Reid from Nevada was heavily backed by Vegas casinos during the last election, and he was attempting to return the favor by trying to push through legislation which would legalise online poker. The legislation was written to give existing Vegas casinos the inside track towards operating poker sites which obviously spurred PartyGaming to seek a US partner for their hugely popular Party Poker site.
However, Senator Reid's attempts to get this Bill passed have failed, and it is highly unlikely the new GOP led House of Representatives will pass such legislation. For now, all attempts to legalise any form of online gaming in America appears to be dead. This includes prior attempts to legalise online bingo in America. PartyGaming operates bingo sites including Foxy Bingo, and had previously hoped - along with many other bingo sites - for entry into the lucrative American market.
