Playtech Enters the Italian Bingo Market

Playtech, a major provider of software for online and mobile gaming platforms, announced the initiation of its Italian online bingo network. Although Playtech is new to the Italian bingo arena, they have ample experience within the Italian gaming market through their poker division's long presence there. Playtech's Italian poker site, iPoker.it, has developed a strong reputation, and Playtech hopes to leverage this goodwill with its expansion into bingo – currently they operate both Bingo Day as well as the recently launched Titan Bingo.
In actuality, Playtech has been in testing mode within the Italian market for several months now with a play-money site. The official launch now converts the site into a real money one. This was facilitated by a ruling in a complex case regarding the legality of real money bingo working its way through the Italian courts. Several online bingo networks had been operating in Italy with play-money sites pending this ruling, and now that they have the green light many are following Playtech's lead with the conversion to real money bingo action.
Playtech is using their newly revamped bingo client for their Italian Bingo Network, and they assert that the new Italian real money games will include the cutting edge of bingo technology facilitating interactivity, community and amusement, which can currently be found at Bingo Day. Playtech made significant investments in customizing the client for its Italian clientele, and they aim to attain market leader status in Italy in the same way they have become a leader within other European bingo markets. Playtech is now hoping the recent Italian court ruling stands, and that there investment into this market doesn't prove to be for naught.
