Italian Online Bingo Legal Once Again

Online bingo got off to an initially rough start in December when an Italian court deprived bingo fans access to their favorite games. The confusing, and often arcane, nuances of Italian law left online bingo players disappointed, and the matter was taken up by the Italian Administrative Court of Appeals. Now, this court revived online bingo in Italy essentially reversing the prior court's opinion -- at least for now.
Today's decision by the Italian Court of Appeals simply rescinded the temporary prohibition of online bingo pending final verdict in the case. A full hearing on the matter is scheduled for March 23rd. Subsequent to this hearing a final verdict will be issued dictating whether online bingo in Italy lives or dies. For now, Italian players can enjoy their favorite games while waiting with anticipation for the permanent ruling to be issued.
Bingo site operators are even more anxious then their players. Significant marketing and operational expenses have been incurred in order to support entry into the lucrative Italian online gaming market. According to experts, Italy is Europe's largest online gaming market.
