Britney Spears Inspires Female Bingo Players

Here is a little piece of news that was sent to me by one of our female members, only to be followed by positive comments from many other of my friends and members at Wiki Bingo. It appears that in her latest campaign for the American fashion company Candie’s, Britney Spears refused to allow her photos to be airbrushed or manipulated, protest of the false idea of beauty the fashion industry represents – well done Britney; you’re an inspiration to female bingo players and all women in general.  Almost every picture we see in the magazines today is being airbrushed, setting impossible standards of looks and beauty and making women feel less confident about their body. A lot of women these days have reached a state of being afraid to go outside because they feel ashamed of their body – perhaps the reason to the growing popularity of online bingo these days…

Britney has only allowed the airbrushed photos be displayed alongside the un-touched photos, displaying the big difference between what you see in magazines and reality. It’s great to see a person like Britney Spears, who is quite a fashion icon take this brave step and speaking out loud against this phenomenon - Britney in many ways is a role model, mainly for young girls in both the UK and the world.

I would be happy to see one of the bigger online bingo brands pick up on this opportunity and devote a special bingo promotion or bonuses around the theme of feeling comfortable with our bodies; I’m certain it will be extremely successful. Perhaps one of the bigger brands like Mecca Bingo or the ever surprising Wink Bingo will pick up the glove?
