Charity Bingo Games
Saturday, 2 March 2013
There are a lot of online bingo sites out there that are oozing with excellent charity bingo games and events at the moment, but the charitable efforts don’t stop online. Loads of land based bingo halls are also getting in on the action, one again proving that bingo fans are by far the most generous of all!
The efforts this year have been kicked off to raise awareness and funds for the very worthy Red Nose Day. Citizens of the UK cannot missed the many Red Nose Day adverts on TV but now your fave bingo sites are getting in on the action. Of course the biggest givers in the world of online bingo are taking center stage, as Jackpot Joy reinforce their reputation as the best charity supporters by offering tonnes of Red Nose Day delights. They love to get involved with worthy causes and often set themselves a target to hit, which is always exceeded. This year, they have set themselves a mammoth £200,000 target, but if this is anything like their previous efforts, that £200K will be pocket change by the time Jackpot Joy fans are finished. They consistently hold excellent charity vents, mostly for the RSPCA for whom they frequently raise the likes of £50K, and this year they are holding jackpot bingo games for the cause. They have even launched a great online scratchcard s that bingo fans can rack up more cash, but of course the best part of the whole endeavor is that fact that all the proceeds are going to Red Nose Day.
Jackpot Joy are not the only online bingo site offering charity bingo. The other big name in bingo and dedicated supporters of the Marie Curie Cancer Care foundation, Mecca Bingo, are of course starting their efforts. They run Marie Curie Cancer Care bingo games for the first week of every single month, with jackpot prizes for the players and a whopping 45p of every £1 wagered going to this worthy cause. That’s almost half the proceeds! But they are not stopping there this time. They are enlisting the help of their bingo halls up and down the UK. They are making sure that there are boxes filled with the famous yellow daffodil – the emblem of the Marie Curie Cancer Care foundation – on offer for land based bingo fans to purchase, again with proceeds going to charity.
At present, Jackpot Joy are the only site to offer Comic Relief bingo, but it is still a good few weeks away so we could see more bingo sites joining in. Costa Bingo have been known to hold some charity bingo events, including Red Nose Day in the past as well as raising cash and awareness for testicular cancer in November. Sing Bingo is another charitable site, and they showed their generosity by holding bingo games in the wake of Hurricane Sandy – could they soon be adding to the Comic Relief effort, too?
