Online Bingo Goes Dating

When members of the elder generation tell us about their stories from time spent at their favourite bingo hall, almost always you hear the inevitable line ‘I met my husband at bingo’. For the older generations in the UK, there was certainly a golden age for bingo halls where people could attend and reap significant social benefits. One of those benefits would be experienced by singletons meeting other eligible singletons they would be interested in. Fruitful relationships in the future would eventually lead to some of the bingo couples eventually getting married, and subsequently able to share the aforementioned line with their grandchildren.
An Emerging Trend
Bingo halls in the UK are no longer than social hotbeds of activity that they once were, unfortunately. However, it seems that online bingo has finally caught up to the past and begun to offer some dating opportunities. Before we proceed, we first need to point out that this is not widespread occurrence, but merely an emerging trend that could become more popular in the future. Quite frankly we hope it does, as it certainly adds a new twist to online bingo that would make it even more exciting than ever before. Men could get easily distracted in chat games from calling ‘bingo’ when they win – that would be rather amusing!
Smooch Bingo Opens the Singles Bingo Room
To provide confirmation of the trend, we now bring you the news that Smooch Bingo has opened an exclusive room solely dedicated to singles, although you could sneak in for a look even if you are partnered up. Keeping things very simple, the site has opted to go for the name Singles Bingo. It certainly isn’t the most imaginative, but it does get across the exact purpose of the room – singles + bingo. Bingo sites already encourage players to interact through chat games, but seldom is there this level of interaction encouraged. It will be exciting to see how this love-themed room performs in the coming months and whether or not other sites will create offerings for the singletons.
Foxy Bingo’s Amusing Take on Bingo Dating
In an amusing take on bingo dating, Foxy Bingo organised a celebrity gathering of single males back in November last year. Among the list of bachelors were names like James Argent, Sam Cussins from Made in Chelsea, Gaz from Geordie Shore rapper Romeo, to name but a few. Foxy invited some of his loyal roomies along to attend the exciting dating event, with the Sketch Club in London playing host. The final aspect of that event was truly amazing, as Foxy assigned the celebrity bachelors to lucky ladies based on the results from bingo balls! Now, that represents the true spirit of bingo dating, with the balls deciding on the pairings.
Future Possibilities
Firstly what we would like to see is a return of Foxy Bingo’s event later in the year. Secondly, it would be fun to see bingo sites make a little more of an effort to pair people off. The romantic bingo traditions of old should be kept alive in the future.
