Tombola, the online bingo site which is the current sponsor of the Emmerdale show on ITV, releases a new free bingo game – Treasure Map, offering £20,000 up for grabs every week.
The game is not a proper bingo game, but adds to a series of semi-side games featured on Tombola – Cinco and Bingo Roulette - which can be considered a little more than just an online bingo site.
The Treasure Map game features Captain Tom Spade which players need to lead around in search of buried treasures, with prizes ranging from £5 to £500, and total of £20K given every week. To be able to play the game, members need to be funded and to stake at least £2 the week before in the various games on site.
In this, Tombola joins a lot of online bingo website who began offering big cash prizes on free bingo games – like Mecca Bingo, Wink Bingo and off course the £100K monthly prizes offered at Moon Bingo.
It also seems that tombola, positioning itself as a site with focus on different games other than online bingo, benefits from the recent rise in popularity of side games in bingo sites – with online scratch cards and slots games getting more and more attention.
Tombola has also invested a lot in TV advertising recently, from the impressive island themed adverts to the recent sponsorship 10 seconds bumps at the Emmerdale show, starring actual Tombola members.
