Bingo.com Joins Unibet Partner Program

Major operator Bingo.com is bringing its massive 2 million member database over to Unibet in a deal which sent waves throughout the UK online bingo community. According to Bingo.com CEO Tarnie Williams, this new partnership will allow Bingo.com to expand their services to include over 20 languages and 10 different currencies.
This deal is just one of several strategic moves made by Unibet. In 2007, Unibet acquired Maria Bingo which is now the largest player in the Nordic online bingo market. Unibet management trumpeted this new partnership with Bingo.com as further proof of Unibet's quality network and deep market penetration throughout Europe.
M&A activity has recently heated up within the European online gaming industry. Last month in February, Virtue Fusion was acquired by Playtech. This came on the heels of Virtue Fusion's own partnership with BoyleSports. Industry analysts expect this wave of merger and acquisition activity to continue so long as the current popularity of bingo continues.
Playtech itself is already operating in the bingo market outside UK offering Bingo Day to countries like Spain, France, Italy and Germany, and it has been rumored that Titan Bingo, another bingo site operating under Playtech will open its doors to Europe as well. With both Playtech and Unibet eyeing the European and Nordic markets, it could be a matter of time before other brands like Mecca Bingo and Gala expand their bingo activity overseas.
Bingo.com and Unibet are both part of publicly traded companies. The Bingo.com network of sites include slots, scratchcards and both real money and free bingo. Unibet currently has over 40 million customers spread among 20 countries. The partnership of these two powerhouses is sure to create additional exciting playing opportunities for UK bingo enthusiasts.
