888 Ladies Survey: Women Prefer Bingo over World Cup

A new survey just quantified what many of us women already knew - online bingo provides far more thrills when compared to the often slow game of football. 888Ladies sponsored this study which established that 40% of women prefer to play bingo without even glancing at World Cup matches, 40% would follow the World Cup while mainly focusing on bingo, and only 20% are going gaga over football like their male counterparts. When it comes to those blaring vuvuzela horns, 54% of women surveyed could definitely do without them.
Now that England has unfortunately been eliminated from the tournament, even fewer women are likely to be following the games. Conversely, there is no doubt that interest in online bingo will continue to rise, and this hobby is rapidly become a mainstay within the UK. Although sites like 888 Ladies Bingo, Polo Bingo and Tea & Bingo unabashedly cater to the ladies, online bingo in the UK is now extending its reach to the male population. Bingo may never compete with football with the men, but as new sites proliferate it is certain that some of them will derive marketing strategies to increase male participation.
